EFL Cup Final At Wembley Stadium


There’s only a couple of weeks to go before the first major football trophy of the season is due to be settled the EFL Cup Final At Wembley Stadium. This year’s cup will be played between Manchester United and Southampton on Sunday 26th February, kick-off scheduled for 16:30 pm.

This will be quite a match as it also marks the 50th anniversary of the first ever League Cup Final to be held at Wembley Stadium. So as you can imagine the atmosphere should be electric.

Southampton who have reached their first major final since 2003 will be hoping to cause another upset after beating Liverpool in the Semi – Finals.

While Manchester United on the other hand will be hoping to add to the 4 League Cup Finals they have already won and Jose Mourinho Man United’s Manager will also hoping to win the League Cup for a 4th time. This would equal the record held by Alex Ferguson the past Man United Manager and Brian Clough the manager of Nottingham Forrest.

The Manchester United fans will be seated in the East End and the Southampton fans seated in the West End of the Stadium with 31,500 tickets allocated to each team.

So the EFL Cup Final at Wembley Stadium is all set to be a cracking match!
