How to Clean your Minicab

If you are a London minicab driver you’ll know how difficult it is to keep your cab clean. It’s a busy city with many partygoers and big spending shoppers. With lots of bookings and competition in the minicab trade keeping your minicab pristine is very important. Here are our top 5 tips for keeping your cab clean.

Tip number 1- This one can save you from an expensive paint job. If you are washing your cab and you drop your sponge or cloth don’t pick it up and re-use it. They can collect tiny stones or pieces of grit and when you wipe them over your minicab they can scratch the paint-work.

Tip number 2 – If you want to maintain the condition of your paintwork and its alloy wheels never use domestic home cleaning products. Many of them contain harsh chemicals which can damage your minicab’s appearance. Special car cleaning products help to protect and maintain your car and its paint.

Tip number 3 – Alloy wheels are expensive but few people actually know how to properly clean alloys without damaging them. You should always use proper wheel cleaning products but avoid acidic, high alkaline and silicone based cleaning products.

Tip number 4 – You have spent a good hour cleaning your beloved minicab and then it starts to rain you turn on the windscreen wipers and they start to smear, even more annoying. To avoid this problem use some white wine vinegar down each one.

Tip number 5 – With so many people coming in and out of your minicab everyday little interior blemishes on your upholstery are unavoidable. To get rid of minor marks you can mix up some baking soda and water and apply it for about 10-15 minutes and then wipe away.

Cleaning your minicab can be a pain but with some useful tips you can get it done in half the time.
